The local dining scene just got a new addition with the grand opening of Tony and Luigis, an Italian wood fired restaurant built on passion, tradition and 15 years of experience. Now the former owners of the beloved La bottega Merrick are bringing there deeply rooted love for Italian cuisine to life in a more personal and expressive way with the opening of LouTonys. With over 15 years in the food industry, their journey began in 2010, and this latest venture represents the realization of a dream. This has been years in the making, we’ve always had a passion for authentic Italian food, and after the success and experience of la bottega, we wanted to create something that was truly ours from the recipes to the atmosphere. Our goal is simple, to serve food that feels like home. Being first cousins of a big family, we have many memories of big gathering all based on food at the kitchen table. We want to bring that same feeling to you, we also wanted to push the envelope a bit- take the traditions we grew up with and add our own signature to them. We have cooked for the community for years. Now we're excited to do it with our own voice.Â
